Seacroft Grange Care Village has been built around the original 1627 Grade II listed building, formerly known as “Tottie Hall” belonging to the Tottie family. Upon new ownership of the home in 1837, the name was changed to Seacroft Grange and has remained as such ever since.
Over the years the home has also been a primary school and an Adult Education Centre, before being given a new lease of life as Seacroft Grange Care Village in 2013 through the extraordinary vision of Springfield Healthcare Group CEO, Graeme Lee, who brought together an award-winning team of architects, builders and restoration specialists. Seacroft Grange was awarded ‘The Best Residential’ scheme in Yorkshire at the RICS Yorkshire Property Awards in 2014. This award honours an outstanding residential development, which has successfully integrated into the surrounding area and community and has acted as a catalyst for further economic activity in the area.
The original Grade II listed building is now home to our spa suite, therapy rooms, hairdressing salon, gym, cinema room and the ever popular Bistro Café. Glass walkways to either side of the original building then guide you through to purpose-built extensions which house our individual care suites alongside communal living and dining areas. A key element of the project, our beautiful seventeenth century oak staircase that had been kept in storage upon the closure of the hall, was lovingly restored and returned to its rightful place in the heart of the home. We think you’ll agree that the blend of old and new gives our home a very special feeling when you walk through the door.
At Springfield Healthcare our focus is family, everyone matters and we really care. Residents, visitors, colleagues, our job is to care and that’s what we do.
