Springfield Healthcares reverse advent calendar aims to give something back to the community by encouraging staff to 'do the giving' and donate a different item each day during advent, with these items being delivered to local food banks before Christmas.

If you would like to join in from home, we have attached the poster to provide some ideas for donations.. let us know if you do get involved!!

This initiative isn’t just about encouraging people to make donations to the local food bank, but to raise awareness, during the month of December, about food poverty and how we can all help just a little bit. Even sharing our Facebook posts is something we can all do - costs nothing and takes seconds. Thank you!

On behalf of the residents at Seacroft Grange, we would like to thank Susan Glendenning from Colton Mill/Grange Surgery who recently donated these Fiddle Muffs for residents on our dementia community.

Fiddle Muffs are "knitted muffs with items attached to keep dementia residents' hands active and busy and to provide a wonderful source of visual, tactile and sensory stimulation."

Residents absolutely love them, and they are already being put to good use on our communities. We would like to say a big thank you to Susan - they are fantastic.
