Spirit of Christmas Award
Every year, our Care Villages help to support their local communities during the Christmas period and this year, the homes were asked to share their stories of how they helped within the community during Christmas and the contributions that they delivered were outstanding and really showed the strong ethos that Springfield Healthcare has. The effort that everybody went to with their presentations to visually show the results of all the hard work, brought everything to life and captured how it had affected those within your local communities.
From teams of people distributing aid and warmth to the homeless, delivering hampers and Christmas gifts, visiting schools and making Christmas cards for our service users, to raising money for Alzheimer’s and your local communities, the acts of kindness were inspirational, humbling and showed exactly what the Spirit of Christmas is. Graeme Lee, Group CEO, set the care villages a challenge and boy did they deliver! Everybody did brilliantly and helped to make Christmas a special time for those they care for as well as those in the community.
Graeme was delighted and thoroughly impressed with the hard work and dedication that each home showed in supporting those who may have found the festive season particularly difficult. ‘The Spirit of Christmas’ award was created to recognise the teams that went above and beyond in their contributions to the community. Seacroft Grange won the ‘commendation’ certificate for the Spirit of Christmas award, significantly contributing to the local community from delivering chocolate and biscuits for the homeless, hosting a family, resident and staff party, raising money for Alzheimer’s and a carol concert by Santa and his elves to name but a few. Congratulations Seacroft Grange!!
